With Effort We Can Feel Better

In my Blogs I have been describing many tools and practices to help people feel better. Most people would like to feel less anxious, angry or depressed, and instead want to feel more peaceful and empowered. A trick and necessity is to actually put energy and consistent effort into practices. If we don’t, we remain the same. Our brain stays the same.

I recently read a quote from HEADSPACE which said, “It’s amazing to think how much time we spend looking after our physical health and how little we spend looking after the health of the mind.”

I am one of those people who has put a whole lot of time and effort into feeling better. I use Gratitude, appreciations, prayer, meditation, Oracle cards, exercise, and also journaling. Journaling is one tool that has helped changed my life. Here is a photo of some of my full journals. There are a few missing, and in this picture you can count 29 journals. This is many years of daily writing.

There was a time in my life when my journal was my best friend. It didn’t let me down, either.

I hope this helps motivate you to put your own special effort into healthy change!

Choose your healthy practices and devote yourself for 30 days to see the beginnings of change. If you begin and then slide away from your practices, forgive yourself and start again.

Here is one of my favourite quotes, “When one is on a spiritual journey one is always at the beginning”.

There is no end goal in particular, so let’s work with the path we are on….
